About Me

Hello! I am Abigail Praklet (Abbie) and I am a chemistry major at Indiana University South Bend, which is in South Bend, Indiana. I am in my fourth year of college, however, I am a junior in the program and will graduate May 2019. I work part-time at our local Hobby Lobby as a customer service manager and I work as an undergraduate researcher in the chemistry department through a work-study position. I also use to work as an Applied Behavioral Analysis Therapist for children with autism and other developmental disabilities. I started a special needs ministry at my church here in South Bend and it is also something I am passionate about! I commute to school, as do 90% of people that go to my school. I live in Michigan and commute about 30 minutes to school, so I do not have the typical college experience living at home while going to college. I wanted to write this blog to share my experiences with other STEM majors as well as assuring you that you CAN make it. Thanks for reading!
